Sexual Discrimination in the work place?  Is this demeaning to women?  Is it unfair to subject employees to this or is it a creative way to keep guest's attention and relay mundane information to frequent flyers?  Watch the video and then share your thoughts.

  1. I do not believe that it is discriminating to women. I think that this is something fun to keep the passengers listening. Honestly how many of us pay attention when they go over the safety speech? I know I don't. The ladies looked like they were having fun and I saw a video of men doing it also.

I believe this is outrageous. And to think that some of the people were acting like this is normal and laughing. This is a perfect example of what's wrong in this world, and how big discrimination is to this day. Women are still looked as the weaker sex, no matter how much they do to prove them wrong. This is not a very creative way to entertain your guest. It is really unfair for the employees to be obligated to subject this video even if discriminating themselves..

  4. This video is fun and up beat way to make everyone on the plane pay attention to the safety speech that they give. But it is also very discriminatory towards women for the fact its only women doing the dance and being used as sexual objects. I feel that it wouldn't be as discriminatory towards women if men were doing the dance too.

  5. I do not think that it is demeaning to women. The employees seem to have a fun time with it. I think that it is an entertaining way to interact with their customers and keep their attention during the safety message. 5 years ago I was on a Southwest flight and they tied jokes into their safety message and I still remember it very clearly to this day. I think it is a smart tactic

  6. Well to call this sexual discrimination might be wrong we need more information as we don't know if this was being forced on them. Lately more and more companies are open to allowing the flight crew have more fun since no one really likes to fly.

In this case it isn't so much sexual discrimination, but a way to entertain the customers because sex sells. Also, this video is fairly innocent they are dancing and showing a demo on safety not "dancing" in a more demeaning way.

  7. 1. Is the nursing profession entitled to be upset?
Yes, because the lady at the view downgraded their careers and made them worthless.
    2. Did the show, "The View" handle it correctly on the next day?
No, because they didn't say "we're sorry" they just tried to play it off.
    3. Are the advertisers right to pull their advertising from "The View"?
Yes because they could lose sales from this.
    4. What do you think of the last video?
    I liked it.

  8. I personally do not think this is demeaning towards women because they are demonstrating the safety instructions in a fun and new way to keep the guests 1. entertained and 2. informed. They are not doing any type of suggestive dancing that would make the flight attendants feel exposed and the guest feel uncomfortable. Personally I do not pay attention when the flight attendants give safety instructions so this is a fun way to get peoples attention and actually listen to the safety instructions.
