Professor Blum's education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Hotel Restaurant Management from Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA; and a Masters Degree in Human Resources from Johnson & Wales University.
Professor Blum's experience includes over twelve years experience with Darden Restaurants both in Back of the House and Front of the House Management positions. His final roll was as Sales Manager and Training Point Person for his Director of Operation's nine stores in New England.
After leaving Darden, Professor Blum joined Decas Cranberry Products as Quality Assurance Manager where he supervised the Quality Assurance Department and the Quality Control Lab.
Professor Blum also owns his own consulting business - The Organizational Guru (http://www.theorganizationalguru.com/) where he offers Organizational and Technology solutions for Business and Residential clients. He also lectures to school students on transitioning to college and also works with elderly clients looking to downsize.
His study abroad experience includes travel to South Africa in June 2011.
